ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS

The day of the procedure/endoscopy, you will not able to drive by yourself. Someone needs to drop you off and pick you up. If you do not have a driver, your procedure may be cancelled by the hospital.

Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. You will be asked to remove any dentures/partials, eye glasses, hearing aides, facial piercings and necklaces the day of the procedure. If you have DIABETES, do not take your diabetic medications on the day of your procedure. If you have high blood pressure, do take your medications the day of the procedure.

7 DAYS BEFORE THE ENDOSCOPY

Stop iron tablets, multivitamins, nutritional supplements, Advil, Motrin. If you take Aspirin, Plavix (clopidogrel), Coumadin (warfarin), Pradaxa (dabigatran etexilate mesylate), or Effient, STOP IT 5-7 DAYS BEFORE THE ENDOSCOPY

El día del procedimiento/Endoscopía no podrá conducir por usted mismo. Alguien tundra que dejarlo y recogerlo. Si usted no tiene un conductor, su procedimiento puede ser cancelado por el hospital. Nada de comer ni tomar después de la media noche. Se le solicitará quitarse cualquier dentadura / parciales, gafas, audífonos, piercings faciales y collares del día del procedimiento. Si tiene DIABETES, no tome sus medicamentos para la diabetes el día antes del procedimiento. Si tiene problemas de presión alta sanguínea, tome sus medicamentos el día del procedimiento.

7 DÍAS ANTES DE LA ENDOSCOPÍA

Pare de tomar tabletas de hierro, multivitamínicos, suplementos nutricionales, Advil, Motrin. Si usted toma Aspirina, Plavix (clopidogrel), Coumadin (warfarin), Pradaxa (dabigatran etexilate mesylate), o Effient, DEJE DE TOMARLOS DE 5-7 DÍAS ANTES DE LA ENDOSCOPÍA.
